Good

Very good song.

14 isn't too young to be a Dj....Eskimo started when he was 15.

But yeah. Good song.

Prodigal responds:

Haha, l guess that's true. Thanks for the review!

Pretty good

Nice steady beat, good drum pattern, etc. etc.

This is a nice, smooth song. The transition and progression was good, kept the mood.

The kick is good, has a good amount of bass on it. If it wasn't a bit muted it would take away from the rest of the song.

The vocals were okay, but they suited the song pretty well.

To be honest, this sounds more like a soft House than Dance.

Not bad, 4/5 8/10

thanks for the great review bro! keep em comin :)

Ok...

Umm...all i can say is that this isn't Hardstyle at all.

This has more of a Techno feel to it, not Hardstyle.

Hardstyle needs sharp synths, adrenaline pumping melodies, varied drum patterns including a hard sounding kick, and aggressive reverse basslines.

I'm not comparing your work to that of the professionals, but here are two songs you can listen to so you can get the Hardstyle feel:

"The Sacrifice" by Headhunterz

"Rock Civilization" by Headhunterz

I'm sorry this review sounded harsh, I don't mean to offend you by it.

vinc3 responds:

I'm not offend ;) I need advice like that
thanks man !

hmm

have you ever even listened to Hardcore? this doesn't sound like it at all.

just because it's called "Hardcore" doesn't mean that it has to be a garbled mess, Hardcore still requires a great amount of mastering and smooth transitions.

don't change the tempo of the song, it just screws it up.

for two great example of what Hardcore should sound like listen to:

"Neophyte Hardcore" by Neophyte

"Mellow Moenie Mauwe" by Bodylotion

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but this just doesn't sound right.

KingKilo responds:

I listen to allot of Hardcore actually. Neophyte is awesome.
Thing is, I just throw in what sounds right, to my personal likings. There is no expertise in any way or form.
Not trying to make up excuses though. I can see why you wouldn't like it.
So thanks anyway!

Good

Now, some problems.

The drums were very repetitive, Hardstyle focuses heavily on the drums and, therefore, needs quite a bit of variation. Maybe make a pattern for the introduction, and a separate pattern for when the lead melody is playing.

The melody was very repetitive, asll you did was change synths, and that isn't quite enough. Hardstyle usually has a short melody along with the drums and then transitions into the lead one. It doesn't keep the same one the whole time.

Really, other than that, this is a decent song. Make those changes and it will be a great one.

I'm sorry if this review sounded harsh, I'm just giving out some criticism to help you improve.

Oakwood responds:

Your review isn't harsh, it's just good critisism. You are right about the drums, I just downloaded Junglist so that problem will be gone in the future. And about the melody... well I just lack inspiration. xD
Thanks for the good review!

good

this is good, i like it.

vocal melody sounds like Camilla? idk, alot of Basshunter's work sounds quite similar.

AMP responds:

It's Ellinor, thanks for the review!

Damn

I really really enjoyed this man. I hardly ever give tens to anyone but this song really deserves it.

I have nothing to complain about, I enjoy your work, keep it up man!

lol Thanks dude

:D

good

it's good, but the drums are a little repetitive, and I heard some detuned notes in the bassline that didn't accentuate the melodies.

this was pretty good, keep up the goo work man.

Good

This was pretty good man. I liked the cheery and upbeat feel this has to it.

The synths are good, as well as the melodies used with them.

The vocals were well picked ans suited the song very well.

My only complaint is that there was pretty well no variation in the drums at all. They were the same throughout the entire song, but they were good nonetheless.

4/5 8/10

Wattr responds:

Thanks a lot, man! I'll put some more thought into the drums, I'm debating changing the lyrics a little, maybe just adding on to them. We'll see I suppose.

Quite good.

I really liked this. It was very relaxing and upbeat at the same time.

The effects and transitions were quite good, they added to the song quite a bit.

The drums were good, a little repetitive at some points, but good none the less.

The synths were good, nice and smooth, nice and calm.

Not much to improve really. This was very good. It sounded quite authentic actually.
